This is a 740 round case of Turkish manufactured MK7Z specification .303 British Ammo. Each case contains 37 boxes of 20 rounds. This ammo would run great in any of your milsup rifles, whether that is a British SMLE, or Lee Enfield number 4 Infantry Rifle--not to mention a Vickers, Bren, or Lewis machine gun.
This .303 British Ammo is of the MK7Z variant, meaning that it features a 174 grain projectile but is propelled by Nitrocellulose rather than cordite. These are slightly longer than the American manufacture of the variant which were solid metal. The forward part of this projectile is typically aluminu, whereas the rear part of it is an alloy consisting of 98% lead and 2% antimony. This achieves stable flight through the air, vicious tumbling through flesh. MK VII projectiles exhibited cupro-nickel jacketing from 1911 to 1943, at which time metal clad steel became the norm.
This ammo was manufactured by MKE, Turkey's premier ammunition manufacturer, in the 1950's. The brass appears to be in very good shaped. The case necks are annealed and nicely crimped increasing the reliability of the cartridge. This is berdan primed and corrosive, so be sure to clean your rifle with any use.
