True Velocity manufactures lightweight, extremely accurate composite-cased ammunition. True Velocity’s precision engineering and manufacturing capabilities allow for substantial improvements in consistency over brass.

Basically the way that it works is this. The polymer case is injection molded, meaning that the internal cavity into which the powder is loaded can be of any particular voume. The engineers at True Velocity ensure that the internal volume of the casing is the same as the volume of powder for the cartridge. Accoridngly, the powder does not have any "wiggle room" at all, which means that the burn of the powder is more consistent and uniform, minimizing the standard variation of the velocity of the ammunition--which is the primary determinant of the accuracy of the ammunition itself. As a result, this ammo will exhibit single-digit stnadard deviation in velocity in FPS, and will be sub-MOA (or much, much better) out of any decent rifle.

In particular, the cartridge case offers a substantial reduction in weight, reduced heat transfer to weapons, significantly enhanced accuracy, more consistent muzzle velocity, reduced muzzle flash, and more efficient powder burn, as compared to brass cartridge cases. True Velocity cartridges cases are magnetically retrievable, reducing the time required for range clean-up and eliminating end-user exposure to heavy metals and toxic gases produced by spent brass cases. True Velocity ammunition is not designed to be reloaded using commercially available reloading equipment.

This ammunition is loaded with Sierra MatchKing bullets. Sierra MatchKing bullets have very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. These Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets have a small meplat to produce a higher ballistic coefficient. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined.
